Since its inception in 1989, the WRPASP has been governed by a volunteer
Board of Directors that oversees all its operations. The Board consist of parents, neighborrs, teachers, and the Program
Director. It typically meets once a month during the school year to review the budget, address staffing and programming
needs, and consider fundraising and gift-giving opportunities. In 2003, the WRPASP became a not-for-profit.

PARENT PARTICIPATION The WRPASP's view of children is a concern for the role of the parent or
legal guardians as the major influence in the child's life. Both parents and legal guardians are free to visit at any time! As often as possible we
involve them in the Program through open house,
family activity nights, seminars, fundraising, and monthly meetings.
Parents and legal guardians are invited to participate in field trips and class parties. This participation is appreciated in making simple repairs, and sharing their
talents, etc.
